Is The Thomas an officially licensed Peaky Blinders product?

The Thomas is an original Laird Hatters design inspired by the style of the era and the iconic silhouette worn in Peaky Blinders. It is not an officially licensed product, it is something better: a genuine, handmade British cap, crafted from authentic Harris Tweed in our own Hertfordshire workshops, to our own exacting standards. The show may have inspired a generation to rediscover this style, but Laird Hatters has been making caps like this since long before the cameras rolled.

What is Harris Tweed and why does it matter?

Harris Tweed is the only fabric in the world protected by its own Act of Parliament. It must be handwoven by islanders at their own homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, using pure virgin wool. Every yard carries the Orb mark, the global guarantee of authenticity. It is dense, durable, naturally water-resistant, and beautifully textured. In short: it is the finest tweed on earth, and it is what The Thomas is made from.

How is The Thomas made?

Every Thomas cap is hand-cut and hand-assembled by skilled artisans in our Hertfordshire workshops. The classic eight-panel construction is shaped, stitched, and finished by hand. The woven label, drawn from Thomas' card in our Collector’s Edition series, is specially made and sewn in individually. No two caps leave the workshop in exactly the same, they are hand-made and that’s what makes them great.

Is this truly a limited edition?

Yes. The Thomas is a strictly limited-edition release from the Laird Hatters Collectors Series. Numbers are controlled and will not be restocked once sold. If you are considering one, we would not advise waiting.

How do I choose my size?

We recommend measuring the circumference of your head in centimetres, about 1cm above the eyebrow. Our size guide is available on the product page. If you fall between sizes, we suggest sizing up; Harris Tweed has a natural give that softens with wear, and a slightly generous fit is always more comfortable than a tight one.

Can I return or exchange The Thomas?
