Channel the razor-sharp grit of Birmingham’s most infamous gang with the Shelby Bakerboy Cap, Laird Hatters' tribute to the style legacy of Thomas Shelby and the hit TV series Peaky Blinders. Handcrafted at our Hertfordshire workshop, this cap draws directly from early Edwardian working-class fashion, refined for the modern wardrobe with unmistakable attitude.

Worn by Cillian Murphy’s iconic character, the bakerboy cap, or “newsboy”, became a symbol of rebellion, authority, and understated swagger. Our Shelby version features the traditional eight-panel crown, a deep-set curved peak, and a soft Laird satin lining for comfort. Made in rich British wool herringbone tweeds, each cap evokes the coal-dusted streets, horse races, and smoky clubs of 1919 Small Heath in Birmingham.
