Made from British herringbone wool tweeds, the Shelby is crafted in our 'Brooklyn' Newsboy shape which,in conjunction with our satin linings,  create an even more streamlined silhouette without the bulk making the Shelby so easy to style. Our satin lining also provides a desirable natural temperature regulation for year-round comfort and durability. Each tweed stock is rich in depth of colour, and available only in very limited quantities.

Handcrafted at our Hertfordshire workshop, this cap draws directly from early Edwardian working-class fashion, refined for the modern wardrobe with unmistakable attitude.

Worn by Cillian Murphy’s iconic character, the bakerboy cap, or “newsboy”, became a symbol of rebellion, authority, and understated swagger. Our Shelby version features the traditional eight-panel crown, a deep-set curved peak, and a soft Laird satin lining for comfort. Every Shelby evokes the coal-dusted streets, horse races, and smoky clubs of 1919 Small Heath in Birmingham.
